It didn't work at first. It would hang at HDA/HDL intro screen. I went out and bought a new Ethernet Adapter and then it worked. So, moral of the story, if you want your hard drive to work first time, you should probably get a Maxtor. However, if you just recently bought your Ethernet Adapter, then you can get a Seagate. I had bought my original adapter in December of 2002. Can't hear seagate over fan.

This drive will have problems with a version 3 or earlier network adapter. It will work fine with the new version 4. The version can be found by unscrewing the metal plate. It will be on the top left corner.
