Got it working! The drive didn't fit into the network adapter because, as mentioned in other posts, the 2 connectors on the adapter are too close together to match up with the ones on the drive. So, I unscrewed the heat shiled from the newtork adapter, and cut the right side of the EIDE connection slot in the heat shield, so I could unscrew this connector from the adapter and slide it further to the right. I tried cutting it with an exacto knife at first, but then resorted to hacking it up with some scissors. In order to unscrew the connector from the ps2s network adapter, you need a torx T6 screwdriver or bit, which took me a while to find. I found one at Canadian Tire, in a $5 swiss army knife type set of screw drivers. I ended up leaving this kind of dangling, so now if I shake my ps2 at all, the drive moves around quite a bit, and eventually, it becomes disconnected from the network adapter. I should try to secure it within the ps2, but I'm afraid of putting cardboard in there, in case the HD's heat causes problems. Any suggestions for securing my hard drive?
