| I installed a brand new unused drive: Maxtor Diamondmax 11 400GHB Hard Disk Drive 7200rpm (! ! ATA/133 INTERFACE VERSION ! !) 16MB (MODEL NUMBER : 6H400R0) Purchased in 2006. (In my PS2 version 4) The HDadvance 3.0 software formatted the 400 GB disk in seconds !. A very quiet drive, running now for six hours, with no apparent heat build up that I can detect when placing my hand on top of the PS2 console, (but I would recommend that you make regular use of a vacuum cleaner to suck the dust out of the front air vents on the PS2 as they can easily get blocked !). I have installed 8 games on the drive so far using the HDadvance 3.0 software, most of the games I installed one after the other, without having to reboot my PS2, but two games said (not enough disk space !) so I simply rebooted my PS2 with the HDadvance 3.0 CD and installed those two games one at a time (after each reboot of my PS2 using HDadvance 3.0 CD to boot it up) with no further problems.
