No problems! Loads and plays backed up games fine! DMS3 chip installed - flashed with v2.2 firmware. HD Loader installs games to the HD at about 800 KB/Sec. on average. First thing I did after putting drive in was format it with the DMS3 HD Explorer. All's well after that... |

I had to push incredibly hard (I don't know if it's that way with all hard drives) to get it on. However, after that, it works beautifully. |

I also have a DMS3 chip except mine is v2.3 firmware. I tried formatting it with HD Advance, Ps2ownz formatter, and dms formatter. All of them say hdd not detected. I moved the jumper to each spot but it still doen't work. I bought it off of ebay so many it is broke. Did yopu have to do anything extra? |

My installation of the HDD had no probs at all. I formatted the HDD using the HDAdvance software, and installed some games with no problems. Haven't used WinHIIP on this drive yet, but worked on my 20g HDD. My PS2 is an unmodded V4 with the common disk read error problems - but it loads HDAdvance EVERY TIME. I think it has to do with the 'high TOC' DVD disks. The only thing I haven't tested is how long it takes for the HDD to warm up. That is all for now... |
