| Formatted with HDL v.0.8c (included in the FreeMcBoot v.1.8 "Noobie Package"). It took three tries to successfully format the HD. Successfully installed several DVD and CD games, sizes ranging from 512 KB to 4 GB, using HDL. (I do not have any officially HDD-compatible games to test.) Average transfer time for 4 GB was <30 minutes, with speeds at the beginning of the install starting at ~400kb/s and steadily increasing to >1000kb/s if the disc is in good condition. Some games did not begin to install and showed very large amounts of time remaining (e.g. >44,000 hrs for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty), possibly because the discs have too much damage. Successfully reads ROMs for NES, SNES, Mega Drive/Genesis. |
